Series B readiness is the operational and financial state a company must reach before institutional investors will commit to a growth-stage round.
Series B readiness is the operational and financial state a company must reach before institutional investors will commit to a growth-stage round. From a finance perspective, readiness means audited or audit-ready financials, a repeatable monthly close, board-quality reporting, clear unit economics, and a financial model tied to the growth plan. Operationally, it means documented internal controls, a scalable org structure, key hires in place (typically VP Finance or CFO), and systems that can support 2–3x headcount growth. "Readiness" is not a checklist. It is the demonstrated ability to deploy capital efficiently and report on results credibly.
